LAKE COMO — In this region, it’s hard not to be swept up in the beauty of the lakes and the surrounding mountains, Lake Como is actually walking distance from Lugano Switzerland, so the landscape is different than what many expect of Italy. Home to a large silk design industry, Como is a beautiful and historic location offering much of the original architecture in the small towns surrounding the lake. LAKE MAGGIORE — This region also boast spectacular views, and is also host to the romantic Borromean Islands in the lake’s center.
